Pak violates ceasefire in Krishna Ghati, Nowshera sector in twin districts of Poonch, Rajouri | KNO

Rajouri, May 22 (KNO): Pakistan on Friday morning resorted to heavy shelling on the line of control in Krishna Ghati and Nowshera sectors in Poonch and Rajouri districts respectively. Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that Pakistan army violated ceasefire in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch's Mendhar and then in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district. Jammu based official spokesman of the Indian Army,  Lt Col Devender Anand said that at about 03:30 AM, the Pakistan army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and mortar shells along LoC in Krishna Ghati sector. "Again at about 07:20 AM, Pakistan army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Nowshera sector of Rajouri," he added. He further said that the Indian Army is retaliating befittingly to the unprovoked firing. Cross border shelling was going on in both these areas when last reports came in—(KNO)
